Huge cuts imposed by central government mean that Kirklees Council is having to consider scrapping Huddersfield’s free town bus service as a cost-cutting measure.
This is an invaluable service to residents all across Huddersfield and Kirklees for work, shopping and leisure and is vital for the town’s economy.
We’re working alongside community groups, Huddersfield Partnership (the town centre business partnership) and the Save Our Free Town Bus campaign and are calling on businesses and organisations across the town to pull together to retain this key service.
